Kaia's First Day of Preschool

Kaia started Preschool today!!! She did so well! There were no tears, just really big smiles. She said she played with the dollhouse, did an art project, played play-doh, and read books. When asked if she was ready to go back next week she responded with a very enthusiastic "yes". She's such a big girl!





If you haven't figured it out, Kaia picked out her entire outfit, including the Cinderella shirt, ruffle socks, and pearl necklace. She insisted on those...

And, of course, the minute we pull away from the building, Halle asks "Where Kaia go?" Sure beats last week when we left Kaia at a friend's house and Halle cried the whole way to our destination. I think she's kind of lost without her sister, but I'm sure she'll get used to it when she realizes how great it is to be on her own.

Kaia got a haircut!

I finally got up the guts to do it...I brought Kaia to get her hair chopped. I was so nervous about cutting so much off, it was like I was cutting my own hair. She doesn't seem to notice a difference. It's a lot shorter and it's cute, but I still don't know if I like it.
Kaia's been into getting her picture taken lately. This is her modeling her haircut, her new shoes, and her new dance outfit. She starts dance next week! Exciting!

And of course, Halle had to join in the fun with her new shoes too! Sorry about the nakedness...she's just beginning a little potty training, so she spends half the day looking like a Victoria Secret model.

We are Having Swing Set!

Check out our newest project. Mike built a swing set for the girls this weekend. the kit said it would take 8 hours to put together. Try 18 hours spread over the course of three days! Awesome! Thank you to Matt, Laura, Marty, and Jess for giving up their weekend fun to help. It looks nice and the kids LOVE it!
