Kaia's New Room

We've been working hard to get Kaia's big girl room ready for her to move into. I painted a few weeks ago. Yes, it's pink. At first I thought it was too pink, but now it's growing on me. The one wall is a dark rose shade and the other three walls are a light pink. Mike hung shades on the windows and fixed a crib we got from a friend. We outfitted the room with my cute garage sale rug (posted previously), Grandma Johnson's dresser, and a chair (also purchased at a garage sale $15). The chair is in great shape, but the green, country-style pattern doesn't go with the decor. It could sure use a slipcover...Mom??? Soon we'll get a twin bed to put in the room and my mom is making a really cute quilt. We'll be sure to post pictures when it's done. Kaia seems excited about the room, but we'll see how she does when we ask her to sleep there and, later, put the baby in her old crib.
