Halle is such a ham sometimes! This may look like a growl, but it's really her silly smile. Halle just turned 18 months old, and, oh, I can tell. She's suddenly realized she doesn't have to do what you want her to do, and it's actually kind of fun to do the opposite of what mom wants. She's learned the word "no".
She's obsessed with puppies and shoes. She is always pointing and asking "Puppy?" everywhere there might possibly be a puppy. It makes Kaia so angry, "NO, Halle, there's NO puppies here!" She has also decided she will only wear certain pairs of shoes - usually dress shoes that make noise when she walks. If you try to put an unapproved pair on her feet, she'll actively protest, and take them off first chance she gets. I think she's a teenager already. Oh yes, and when she is doing something she knows she's not supposed to do, she'll look at you and say "Hi" in all her sweetness, like she's taunting you. What a stinker!
I talk like it's all bad, but Halle's still really very sweet and easy going. Just a few little laughable quirks. It's actually fun to see her gain some independence. She had her 18 month check up yesterday. She's right in the 50th percentile for everything, 23 lbs 8 oz and 32 inches tall. I was just thinking...at what age does it become inappropriate to post my daughter's weight on the internet?
